6G Welder / Fabricator

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 6G, MIG, TIG and ARC welding as required.
• Cut, grind, drill, fit and fabricate steel parts.
• Repair cracks, brackets, chassis and damaged metal structures.
• Assist with installing lorry cranes, hooklifts, tailgates and waste equipment onto trucks.
• Carry out modification, reinforcement, fitting and assembly work.
• Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Check weld quality, measurements and alignment after completing each job.
• Prepare materials, welding machines and tools before starting work.
• Follow safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Keep the work area clean and take proper care of tools and equipment.

Requirements

• ITE, NITEC or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
• At least 2 years of welding or fabrication experience involving heavy vehicles, construction equipment or heavy machinery.
• A valid 6G Welding Certificate is preferred.
• Able to perform MIG, TIG and ARC welding.
• Able to use cutting, grinding and drilling equipment.
• Able to read simple engineering drawings and use basic measuring tools.
• Oxy-acetylene cutting experience is an advantage.
• A valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm
• Saturday: 8.00am to 12.00pm
• One-hour lunch break
