CONSTRUCTION FOREMEN

Job Summary

Lead and supervise construction crews to ensure timely project completion while enforcing safety standards and maintaining clear communication between field teams and management.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily work activities of crew members and provide training to new workers to ensure operational efficiency
• Plan and schedule daily tasks to meet project milestones and deadlines effectively
• Enforce safety protocols and building codes by conducting regular on-site safety talks and monitoring compliance
• Serve as the primary communication link between field workers and upper management or project managers to facilitate smooth operations
• Track equipment usage and manage orders for necessary building materials to maintain resource availability

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to guide construction activities
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe work environment
• Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy materials to perform construction tasks safely and effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on construction experience combined with crew leadership skills to manage team performance and project delivery
