Part-Time Publicity & Collection Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking responsible and customer-oriented Part-Time Publicity & Collection Assistants to support the XPS Home Project. The role involves promoting XPS Home courier services at workers' dormitories and assisting with the collection of customer shipments. This position requires individuals who enjoy interacting with people and can work weekends and selected weekday evenings.

Key Responsibilities

Publicity & Promotion

● Promote XPS Home courier services to dormitory residents.

● Distribute promotional flyers and explain service offerings and shipping rates.

● Assist in setting up and maintaining promotional booths, banners, and marketing materials.

● Answer customer enquiries professionally and provide accurate information.

Shipment Collection

● Receive and process customer shipments at designated dormitories.

● Verify shipment details and complete consignment documentation.

● Weigh, label, and prepare parcels for collection.

● Handle basic payment collection and maintain accurate records.

● Ensure collection equipment and materials are properly maintained.

General Duties

● Set up and pack up promotional and collection equipment before and after each deployment.

● Maintain a clean and organised work area.

• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of the XPS Home Project.

● Able to communicate in English; proficiency in Tamil is highly preferred (at least one team member on each deployment must be Tamil-speaking). We are seeking candidates proficient in Tamil to effectively communicate with Tamil-speaking clients.

● Friendly, customer-focused, and able to communicate confidently with members of the public.

● Able to perform physical tasks and able to handle parcels and collection equipment.

● Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

● Possession of a Class 3 or Class 4 Driving Licence is an advantage with own car or van.

Working Hours

● Publicity & Promotion (New Dormitories):

○ Thursdays and Fridays

○ 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

● Weekly Collection (Ongoing Dormitories):

○ Sundays

○ 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

● Mondays may be required as a backup collection day when operationally necessary.
