Job Summary

The Transport Specialist - Warehouse and Cold Chain Management is responsible for the safe, efficient and on-time delivery of cargos. He/She is required to load, move and unload cargo, goods or products, and support replenishment activities.

Being part of a team, he/she supports transportation operations. He/She is also required to be familiar with the specialised handling procedures, where applicable.

Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)

Business Administration Operations

• Communicate requirements and activities to stakeholders
• Participate in value-based culture and a culture of accountability in the organisation
• Adhere to organisation’s governance, compliance issues and reporting processes
• Adhere to organisation’s data governance and protection processes
• Work with allocated resources within business activities
• Apply operational policies, standards and procedures
• Perform basic risk assessment
• Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives

Business Process/Continuous Improvement

• Perform continuous improvement activities
• Apply environmental protection procedures
• Perform activities to improve quality of logistics services

Safety and Health

• Perform WSH activities to ensure personal compliance to requirements
• Perform safety and health risk assessment
• Report WSH incidents
• Highlight WSH shortcomings in existing processes

Technology Application

• Assist application of latest technology to improve operations in own work areas
• Operate technology or electronic tools and devices

Transportation Operations

• Perform transport operations within resources and cost allocation
• Perform delivery and pick-up operations
• Deliver logistics services that meet customer requirements
• Perform maintenance of transportation facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems
• Monitor lapses in delivery of logistics services to customers
• Operate heavy transportation vehicles
• Operate cargo-lifting and rigging equipment
• Operate lorry crane

Warehousing, Cargo and Material Handling

• Perform cargo or material-handling security procedures
• Perform acceptance of cargo according to industry standards or sector requirements
• Apply methods and techniques to handle dangerous goods
• Apply methods and techniques to handle time and temperature-sensitive cargo
• Perform cargo consolidation activities
• Perform transhipment and transloading operations

• Possess relevant driving licence & 1-2 years of driving experience (preferred)
