Officer/Senior Officer, Trade Finance Services

About the Role

We are looking for a detailed oriented and driven Trade Finance Services Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our Trade Finance team in Singapore.

This position reports to the Head of Trade Finance Services, Singapore.

In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely execution of trade finance transactions, in line with agreed pricing and service standards, while maintaining strong compliance and risk awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Export Letters of Credit (L/C) and Documentary Collection settlements accurately and efficiently
• Perform sanctions screening on all relevant trade transactions and liaise with Compliance for necessary clearances
• Support trade finance transactions across branches as required
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
• Adhere to the Operations escalation framework and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate operational risks
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and customer excellence
• Participate in projects, including user testing and implementation activities
• Assist in developing and updating work instructions and process documentation

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in trade finance operations within a bank
• Working knowledge of SWIFT message types related to Trade Finance
• Basic understanding of ICC rules (UCP, URC,ISBP) and international trade finance practices
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
