Deputy Managing Director, Operations (Hospitality)

Overview

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Deputy Managing Director, Operations will lead the overall operational strategy and execution of the organisation's hospitality business. The role is responsible for delivering operational excellence, driving commercial performance, enhancing guest experiences and ensuring seamless execution across all operational functions.

The incumbent will provide strategic leadership to the operations team, including the Head of Culinary and Head of Programmes, ensuring all hospitality offerings and experiences align with the organisation's vision and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and oversee all hospitality operations, ensuring operational excellence, service quality and commercial performance.
  2. Drive business performance through effective planning, budgeting, cost management and operational optimisation.
  3. Provide leadership to the Head of Culinary to deliver high-quality dining concepts, food and beverage operations and culinary innovation.
  4. Oversee the Head of Programmes to curate and execute hospitality programmes, events and guest experiences that enhance brand positioning and customer engagement.
  5. Establish and monitor operational KPIs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  6. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth, new initiatives and strategic projects.
  7. Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, health and safety requirements.
  8. Build, lead and develop a high-performing operations leadership team.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  2. More than 15 years of leadership experience within hospitality, integrated resorts, lifestyle destinations or large-scale service operations.
  3. Proven track record leading multiple operational functions, including Food & Beverage, Culinary, Guest Experience and Programmes.
  4. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets and operational performance.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead senior cross-functional teams and drive organisational transformation.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
