Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and highly technical Plumbing Project Manager to oversee, execute, and deliver commercial and residential plumbing and sanitary engineering projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will lead project coordination, manage on-site operations, and ensure full compliance with Singapore's regulatory standards.
- Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of plumbing, sanitary, and drainage installations for construction projects.
- Site Management & Coordination: Lead sub-contractors, site supervisors, and work permit holders to ensure site safety, quality control, and adherence to project timelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all plumbing works strictly adhere to PUB (Public Utilities Board), BCA (Building and Construction Authority), and NEA regulations and codes of practice.
- Technical Drawing Review: Interpret, review, and modify mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering blueprints, schematic drawings, and structural layouts.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for main contractors, client representatives, architects, and relevant government authorities.
- Cost & Resource Control: Monitor project budgets, manage material procurement, track variations, and prepare monthly progress claims.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience: At least 15 to 20 years of hands-on experience executing complex plumbing, drainage, and sanitary systems in the construction industry.
- Technical Leadership: Proven track record of managing technical site teams, specialized trade workers, and multiple concurrent project sites.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Singapore’s PUB standards, sanitary plumbing codes (SS CP 48), and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional capability to troubleshoot site technical issues, structural clashes, and manage project bottlenecks independently.
- Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse site teams and liaise with corporate clients.
- Note: While a formal degree is advantageous, extensive practical project management experience in plumbing systems and a proven track record of site leadership will be heavily prioritized.
