Adjunct Lecturers

Salary Range: The teaching fee will be determined based on the candidate's level of academic qualification and teaching experience.

Capital College of the Arts, Management, and Technology (CCAMT) is currently seeking passionate, experienced educators to join our academic team for the Certificate in Foundation Studies program.

CCAMT is building a pool of qualified lecturers to deliver high-quality instruction across foundational arts, general education, and essential academic skills modules. The ideal candidate will equip pre-university students with the core knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills required for successful progression into higher education.

This is a part-time position with the possibility of renewal based on performance and faculty needs. Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and delivering engaging instruction in identified key concepts.
  • Designing and implementing instructional materials, activities, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Providing guidance and support to students in developing study habits, critical thinking, research fundamentals, and interdisciplinary perspectives.
  • Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that accommodates diverse educational backgrounds.
  • Evaluating and assessing student performance
  • Collaborating with colleagues, faculty, and stakeholders to enhance the quality of education and training
  • Participating in program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to promote reflective practice and support continuous professional growth
  • Perform administrative tasks related to teaching, mentoring, and program coordination, such as grading, record-keeping, and attendance tracking, in a timely and efficient manner, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education and experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree to teach foundation levels programs in relevant discipline (Arts, Humanities, Education, Communications, IT or related fields)
  • Teaching experience: The candidate should have prior experience in teaching in higher education or foundation programs, with a demonstrated ability to engage students and deliver course materials that align with the program's learning objectives.
  • Subject matter expertise: The candidate should have a Strong understanding of pedagogy and effective teaching methods suitable for foundation-level learners.
  • Industry/professional experience: The candidate should possess relevant industry or practical experience in the subject area.
  • Excellent communication skills: The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain fundamental concepts clearly.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion: The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching, mentoring, and leadership, and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

· Ability to guide students in higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and self-reflection.

· Proficiency in incorporating interactive teaching methods, technology, and practical applications into classroom delivery.

· Strong organizational skills and commitment to meeting administrative and grading deadlines.
