RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Launch shipping programs with corporate clients, ensuring strong client participation across all categories and outperforming competitors on key commercial metrics.
  • Evaluate the viability of new service offerings, develop forecasts, and lead the planning and execution of service rollouts.
  • Manage business engagement activities by tracking project progress, identifying gaps, handling escalations, and ensuring alignment with business stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement sustainable growth strategies to retain existing business and capture new market opportunities.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and space allocations to maximize vessel utilization and enhance overall trade performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute business and marketing plans related to service structures and physical logistics flows.
  • Coordinate with agency partners to handle service rate inquiries and ensure consistency in pricing communications.
  • Generate trade management reports, including competitive analysis, performance metrics (volume, revenue, shipment data), and market intelligence insights.
  • Provide accurate and timely market updates, including demand forecasts and trends, to support informed decision-making.
  • Other duties/ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Maritime Studies or any related fields of study.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a liner shipping company, experience in pricing and space allocation, familiar with AEM trade.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in Trade Management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of trade partners and services, supported by a proven track record of performance.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards, professionalism, responsibility, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin, as the role requires regular verbal and written communication with English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
