Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer (Tampines)

Join a leading global manufacturing company where you'll play a key role in driving workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance. You will lead EHS initiatives, ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, and foster a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Act and all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management system, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Organise and facilitate WSH Committee meetings and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Manage regulatory reporting, permits, licences, and liaise with government authorities during inspections and audits.
• Review contractor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and work permits to ensure safe work practices.
• Lead waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives, including supporting Zero Waste to Landfill programmes.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS audits, customer assessments, and certification audits.
• Prepare EHS reports, compliance data, and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
• Conduct EHS orientation, training, emergency drills, and awareness programmes for employees and contractors.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) (Mandatory).
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, logistics, or related industries.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and environmental regulations.
• Experience with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards and UL2799 Zero Waste to Landfill certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
