Plant Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Maintenance Gatekeeper, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring plant reliability and optimizing processes. This position offers an opportunity to drive continuous improvement while supporting the safety and efficiency of operations.

Responsibilities

• Assess notifications prepared by production concerning plant safety, environmental protection, and reliability before transforming them into work orders in the SAP system.

• Verify that maintenance work performed by contractors meets specifications.

• Maintain and update master documents and plant documentation in line with company standards.

• Coordinate activities during plant turnarounds.

• Support the continuous improvement process and recommend alternative equipment or enhancements to plant design.

• Contribute to the administration of facility quality, safety, and environmental programs, including non-conformance action items and the Management of Change (MOC) processes.

• Maintain and optimize maintenance plans, encompassing preventive measures and routine inspections.

• Conduct cost analysis and prepare reports on maintenance effectiveness.

• Identify and address shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures through established change management programs.

• Work within prescribed procedures to meet specified goals.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) or an equivalent field.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.

• Willingness to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided).

• Preferably experienced in Maintenance/Repair (facilities and machinery).

• Strong understanding of chemical or mechanical process equipment.

• Excellent communication skills to enhance teamwork and knowledge sharing.

• Ability to work independently, providing technical guidance on planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to meet business objectives.
