Finance Manager

Job Summary

• Oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting and compliance across the company's business entities.
• Reporting to the Chief Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial planning, process improvements, and supporting business performance through accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial and operational activities across multiple business entities.
• Lead the preparation of sales forecasts, expense forecasts, and gross profit analysis by product.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and oversee treasury-related activities.
• Maintain banking documentation, including authorised signatories and banking mandates.
• Support statutory reporting, tax matters, audits, legal compliance, and internal control processes.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset tagging, depreciation, and physical asset verification.
• Prepare GST and withholding tax submissions, and assist with corporate tax filings and tax schedules.
• Review expense accruals, monitor operating expenses, and oversee purchase order controls.
• Review and approve journal entries, payment transactions, and other accounting records.
• Manage finance master data, including cost centres, business units, and chart of accounts.
• Develop, review, and enhance finance policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
• Drive continuous improvements to finance systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Support ad hoc projects and other finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or trading environment.
• Good understanding of accounting standards, including local GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working within reporting deadlines.
• Experience with ERP systems is required; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be an advantage.
