Counter Staff / Cashier

Job Summary

Responsible for handling customer orders, billing, payment processing and supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and accurately take dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders to ensure smooth service flow
• Operate the POS system to generate precise bills for customer orders
• Process various payment methods including cash, card, NETS, and PayNow efficiently and securely
• Perform opening and closing cash reconciliation to maintain accurate cash records
• Coordinate order details with kitchen staff to ensure timely and correct food preparation
• Pack takeaway and delivery orders carefully to maintain order accuracy and quality
• Maintain daily sales and billing records to support financial tracking and reporting
• Keep the cashier counter clean and organized to promote a safe and welcoming environment
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing and resolving basic enquiries promptly
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs to ensure compliance and customer safety

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in cashiering or food and beverage operations preferred to enhance service efficiency
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems to support transaction processing
• Good communication skills in English and Tamil to interact effectively with diverse customers
• Strong numerical skills to handle billing and cash reconciliation accurately
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays to meet operational needs
