Focusing primarily on deep tech opportunities, the firm partners with visionary founders developing breakthrough technologies across Singapore, North America, and Europe, providing capital, strategic guidance, and access to an extensive international network to accelerate growth.

As part of its continued expansion, our client is seeking highly motivated Investment Managers to join its investment team. Reporting to senior investment members of the team, you will play an active role throughout the investment lifecycle — from identifying emerging technology trends and sourcing investment opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Deal Origination

• Research, analyse, and synthesise emerging technology, innovation, and market trends to identify attractive investment opportunities.
• Build proprietary deal flow by developing relationships with founders, venture capital firms, research institutions, universities, accelerators, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
• Develop investment theses around emerging technologies and identify companies with significant commercial potential.

Investment Evaluation & Execution

• Conduct commercial, strategic, technical, and financial due diligence on prospective investments.
• Evaluate technology differentiation, market opportunities, competitive positioning, business models, and risk-return dynamics.
• Support transaction structuring, valuation analysis, negotiation of investment terms, and execution in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
• Prepare investment memoranda, financial analyses, and presentations for internal Investment Committee discussions.

Portfolio Management

• Monitor portfolio company performance and evaluate strategic initiatives, financing activities, and corporate developments.
• Partner with founders and management teams to support value creation, commercialisation strategies, business development initiatives, and long-term enterprise growth.

Strategic Initiatives

• Support broader strategic projects, thematic research, sector mapping and other initiatives that enhance the firm's investment platform and capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• A distinguished academic record from a reputable university is highly regarded. Candidates with Master's, PhD or Postdoctoral qualifications from leading global institutions are strongly encouraged to apply.
• At least 4 years of relevant investment experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Corporate Venture Capital or Technology Investments; OR
• At least 8 years of research, product development or industry experience within deep technology sectors. Exceptional candidates without direct investment experience but with outstanding technical credentials are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for emerging technologies, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technologies, markets, and business models.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and commercial audiences.
• Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a high degree of ownership and initiative.

Candidates with one or more of the following backgrounds will be viewed favourably:

• Early-stage venture capital or growth-stage investing.
• Founder or operating experience within a high-growth technology company.
• Hands-on software engineering, artificial intelligence or product development experience.
• Experience translating research or technical innovation into commercially successful products.
• Strong industry networks within global technology and innovation ecosystems.

Fluency in Mandarin would be advantageous for engaging with regional founders, research institutions, and business partners.
