Working Schedule

  • Mondays: Approximately 2:45 PM – 5:45 PM (3 hours per session)

  • Fridays: Approximately 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM (2 hours per session, when required)

  • Approximately 39 training sessions per year

  • Estimated 114 training hours annually, including CCA sessions, competitions, training camps and key milestone events.

  • No training during public holidays, school holidays and examination stand-down periods unless required by the school.

  • Monthly payment based on actual training hours conducted.

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Robotics Club CCA Instructor to conduct robotics training for secondary school students. The successful candidate will design engaging lessons, develop students' robotics and coding skills, and prepare them for national robotics competitions while fostering teamwork, leadership and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct a structured Robotics Club training programme.

  • Teach Robotics construction and programming using:

    • LEGO Spike Prime

    • Micro:bit

    • EV3 (preferred)

    • IDE Robotics platforms

  • Prepare students for robotics competitions including:

    • First Lego League (FLL)

    • National Robotics Competition (NRC)

    • World Robot Olympiad (WRO)

    • IDE Robotics Competition

  • Coach students in coding, troubleshooting and robot design.

  • Develop students' computational thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Encourage teamwork, leadership, creativity and innovation.

  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver effective training sessions.

  • Support students during competitions, training camps and school events.

  • Maintain attendance, lesson plans and students' progress records where required.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum Certificate or higher qualification in:

    • Robotics

    • LEGO Spike Prime

    • Micro:bit

    • EV3

    • Programming

    • Engineering or related disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of Robotics Club coaching experience in Singapore schools is preferred.

  • Experience preparing students for FLL, NRC, WRO, IDE or similar robotics competitions.

  • Strong knowledge of LEGO Spike Prime programming and robotics coding.

  • Able to troubleshoot robotics hardware and software issues independently.

  • MOE Instructor Registration is preferred or the ability to be registered with MOE.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to conduct engaging, hands-on robotics lessons.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with a proven track record of coaching students who have participated in or won robotics competitions will have an added advantage. Applicants should be able to provide details of previous robotics coaching assignments and relevant competition achievements.
