Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Develop and improve electrical engineering designs, perform prototype testing, and provide technical support to production and customers. Collaborate with teams and customers to enhance product designs and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering designs from conceptual stages through schematic and detailed designs based on project requirements
• Perform prototype testing, troubleshoot issues, and generate detailed analysis reports to inform design improvements
• Generate electrical schematics using manufacturer parts aligned with IEC standards to ensure design accuracy and compliance
• Participate in Product Data Management (PDM) implementation testing for electrical designs with automation to improve data handling and design efficiency
• Assemble, wire, install, and evaluate electrical components and systems to support prototype and production readiness
• Provide technical support to production, customer, and field service teams to resolve design and operational issues promptly
• Collaborate weekly with customers via calls or face-to-face meetings to discuss design concepts and improvements, ensuring alignment with customer needs
• Conduct project costing and re-engineer designs to optimize profit margins and resource utilization
• Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify critical and high-risk electrical design elements, conduct evaluation tests, and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations to maintain product safety and certification requirements
• Apply problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve design and production challenges effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of working experience
• Knowledge of SolidWorks software to support design and modeling activities
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn continuously in a dynamic engineering environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to deliver project results
• Effective communication skills, including verbal interaction and report writing, to support clear information exchange and documentation
