Epic Swim is looking for a creative and highly observant Part-Time Content Creator who can identify trending social media content and adapt it into engaging videos for our swim school. The role focuses primarily on monitoring current trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels and other short-form platforms, then recreating or adapting suitable trends to match Epic Swim’s brand, programmes, coaches and students. The ideal candidate understands what makes short-form content entertaining, is comfortable filming around swimming pools and can turn trending ideas into relatable content for parents, children and the wider swimming community.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Identify trends that can be adapted appropriately for Epic Swim.

  • Present a weekly list of content ideas, including the trend reference, proposed concept and filming requirements.

  • Adapt trends creatively rather than simply copying them.

  • Ensure each trend remains relevant to swimming, parenting, children’s development, coaching or the Epic Swim experience.

Who We're Looking For

  • Passion for content creation, branding, and social media

  • Creative with a good eye for photography, videography, or design

  • Comfortable using social media platforms and basic editing tools

  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Having your own laptop, camera, or content creation equipment is an added advantage

About the Role

The ideal candidate understands what makes short-form content entertaining, is comfortable filming around swimming pools and can turn trending ideas into relatable content for parents, children and the wider swimming community.

Key Responsibilities

Trend Research and Content Ideation

- Monitor TikTok, Instagram Reels and other relevant platforms for emerging trends, video formats, sounds, challenges, hooks and editing styles.

- Identify trends that can be adapted appropriately for Epic Swim.

- Present a weekly list of content ideas, including the trend reference, proposed concept and filming requirements.

- Adapt trends creatively rather than simply copying them.

- Ensure each trend remains relevant to swimming, parenting, children’s development, coaching or the Epic Swim experience.

Video Production

- Plan, film and produce short-form videos featuring Epic Swim’s coaches, classes, facilities, programmes and activities.

- Guide coaches and team members during filming to achieve natural and engaging performances.

- Capture additional behind-the-scenes footage, lesson highlights and candid moments that can be used for future content.

- Ensure videos are filmed vertically and optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook.

Editing and Publishing

- Edit videos with strong hooks, captions, transitions, sound effects and trending audio.

- Produce content that captures attention within the first three seconds.

- Maintain Epic Swim’s visual identity, tone and brand standards.

- Prepare captions, hashtags and recommended posting times.

- Organise completed videos and raw footage in the company’s content library.

- Make reasonable revisions based on feedback before publication.

Expected Deliverables

- 3 short-form videos per week

- 12 to 15 completed videos per month

- A weekly trend and content proposal

- Raw footage from each filming session

- Captions and posting recommendations for completed videos

- A monthly review of content performance and recommended improvements
