CPP Shipbroker

We are looking for an experienced CPP Shipbroker to join an established international maritime organisation. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with experience in the CPP, DPP, or Chemical tanker markets who enjoys developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Experienced Tanker Operators with a strong understanding of the tanker market and an interest in moving into shipbroking are also encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and industry stakeholders.
• Develop new business opportunities while growing existing client accounts.
• Negotiate and conclude fixtures, ensuring commercially favourable outcomes for clients.
• Monitor freight market developments, cargo movements, and vessel availability to identify opportunities.
• Provide timely market updates, freight assessments, and commercial advice to clients.
• Work closely with internal teams to support market research and business development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of fixtures, market activity, and client interactions using internal systems.
• Represent the company professionally at client meetings and industry events.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in tanker shipping, with exposure to CPP, DPP, or Chemical tanker markets.
• Candidates with shipbroking experience are preferred. Experienced Tanker Operators who are keen to transition into a commercial shipbroking role are also encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of tanker market dynamics, chartering practices, and voyage economics.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Confident communicator with good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Existing network within the tanker shipping industry will be an advantage but is not essential for candidates with strong operational experience.
