Senior Lecturer (Nursing)

Position Overview

This role is designed for an experienced academic professional who will contribute to the early-stage

development of the Nursing programme at GSTM. The appointee will support curriculum

development, academic delivery, and external university liaison. The position offers progression

towards a Programme Lead role as the programme expands.

Renumeration

We will pay in accordance to fair renumeration & Industry rates. Negotiable and mutually agreed upon

Key Responsibilities

Programme Development

• Contribute to curriculum design and mapping in alignment with awarding body and regulatory requirements.

• Support documentation preparation for programme approval and accreditation.

• Assist in developing academic policies, module specifications, and quality assurance processes.

• Work independently in programme setup and implementation.

External Liaison & Partnerships

• Liaise with overseas partner universities on academic matters, module alignment, and progression pathways.

• Support communication with healthcare institutions and industry stakeholders.

• Represent the programme in meetings when required.

Teaching & Learning

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and clinical skills training across nursing-related modules.

• Supervise student assignments and final projects.

• Support the development of teaching materials and assessment frameworks.

• Apply evidence-based and practical teaching approaches suited to industry standards.

Academic Contribution

• Engage in scholarly activities or applied research where appropriate.

• Support the growth of a positive academic culture within the School.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree (PhD preferred but not mandatory) in Nursing or related healthcare discipline.

• Registered Nurse (RN) status in Singapore or recognised equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of academic and/or clinical experience.

• Experience in curriculum development or programme coordination preferred.

• Ability to work independently and contribute in a developing academic environment.

• Experience in international academic collaboration is an advantage.
