GIS Developer

Job Description:

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain GIS applications, web mapping solutions, dashboards, and spatial data services using platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, OpenLayers, or similar technologies.
• Develop and automate geoprocessing workflows including buffering, overlay, spatial joins, network analysis, raster processing, vector processing, spatial interpolation, suitability analysis, and spatial modeling.
• Build reusable GIS tools, scripts, models, APIs, and services using Python, ArcPy, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, and geospatial libraries.
• Develop and manage spatial databases and enterprise geodatabases using technologies such as PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial, ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase, or equivalent platforms.
• Integrate geospatial datasets from multiple sources including satellite imagery, LiDAR, drone imagery, GPS, IoT sensors, public datasets, and enterprise systems.
• Support GeoAI development use cases such as object detection, feature extraction, land-use classification, change detection, predictive spatial modeling, anomaly detection, clustering, and pattern recognition.
• Collaborate with GIS analysts, data scientists, solution architects, business users, and project stakeholders to translate geospatial requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, metadata standards, coordinate reference system validation, spatial accuracy, security, and governance of geospatial datasets.
• Optimize GIS application performance, spatial queries, map services, geoprocessing tasks, and data pipelines for enterprise-scale usage.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution design documents, user guides, deployment notes, and knowledge transfer materials.
