Responsibilities

  • Lead finance and accounting operations to deliver accurate financial reporting and ensure effective cash flow management and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance business performance through financial insights, cost optimization, and commercial advice.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and finance processes while leading digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities to ensure timely statutory compliance.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the finance team to build capabilities and support regional finance projects and strategic initiatives.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and Tax regulations.
  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 5 years in managerial or supervisory roles.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in trading, distribution, manufacturing, or the chemical industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen demonstrated by analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills applied to finance functions.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Proactive leadership style with a hands-on approach to partnering with business units and driving continuous improvement.
