## About Us
Octopack is part of a growing group of Singapore-based businesses spanningpackaging, engineering, and industrial operations. We're expanding ourfacilities and are looking for a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to overseean upcoming renovation and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) project at ourwork site — from planning through to handover.
## The Role
You'll be the on-the-ground point person managing the day-to-day implementationof a renovation and M&E fit-out project. This role requires someone who cancoordinate contractors, keep timelines on track, ensure work meets quality andsafety standards, and flag issues before they become costly problems.
## Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site activities for the renovation and M&E works, ensuringalignment with approved plans and specifications
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, andvendors on scheduling and deliverables
- Monitor project timelines, track progress against milestones, and escalatedelays or risks early
- Review and verify work quality on site against drawings, specifications, andapplicable codes
- Support procurement coordination — material deliveries, equipment scheduling,and vendor follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site safety protocols (WSHrequirements)
- Maintain project documentation: site records, progress reports, variationorders, and meeting minutes
- Assist in budget tracking and cost control, flagging variances tomanagement
- Coordinate necessary permits, inspections, and approvals with relevantauthorities (BCA, SCDF, etc. as applicable)
- Support troubleshooting of on-site issues involving M&E systems(electrical, ACMV, plumbing, fire protection)
## What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management withinconstruction, renovation, or M&E works
- Diploma/Degree in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering,Construction Management, or related field
- Working knowledge of M&E systems and renovation/fit-out processes
- Familiarity with Singapore building/construction regulatory requirements isan advantage
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contractorsand timelines simultaneously
- Comfortable being on-site regularly and communicating directly with workersand contractors
- Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting to management
- Proficiency in project tracking tools (Excel, MS Project, or similar) andbasic understanding of technical drawings
