SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Summary

Prepare and manage cost comparisons, contract documentation, and procurement activities to ensure effective project cost control and contractual compliance as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse cost comparisons to support project budgeting and decision-making
• Provide accurate contract documents, correspondence, and information to ensure proper contractual performance
• Obtain quotations and negotiate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms
• Measure quantities and perform take-offs to support accurate cost estimation and billing
• Apply construction and engineering principles to assess project requirements and costs
• Utilize knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes to manage contractual obligations
• Analyse project costs to evaluate and manage budgets effectively
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and sub-contractor payments to ensure accurate financial management
• Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting companies
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration, and managing variation orders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proactive time management to meet tight deadlines
