Job Overview

The Plaster (Cast) Technician Assistant supports the plaster technicians in delivering safe and efficient casting services. You will assist with cast procedures, prepare materials and equipment, coordinate follow-up appointments, and ensure the smooth daily operations of the plaster room while providing quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist plaster technicians with cast application and removal procedures.
• Prepare and replenish plaster room supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Provide basic patient assistance and explain simple care instructions when required.
• Arrange follow-up appointments and support patient scheduling.
• Assist with documentation and administrative duties related to plaster room operations.
• Ensure cleanliness of the plaster room and maintain proper infection prevention and control practices.
• Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in any field.
• Keen to learn and develop in the orthopaedic/plaster technician field.
• Training will be provided.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
