Assistant Project Engineer (Career Conversion Programme)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Engineer under the Workforce Singapore (WSG) Career Conversion Programme (CCP).

This role is specifically structured for mid-career professionals looking to pivot into the Built Environment sector. You will undergo a structured 6-month training program encompassing external classroom certifications and specialized On-the-Job training (OJT) to fast-track your technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist Project Managers in daily site operations, coordination, and monitoring project progress against timelines.

• Liaise and coordinate work schedules with sub-contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.

• Assist in contract administration, compilation of progress claims, and project documentation tracking.

• Support the enforcement of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and quality control standards on-site.

• Assist in interpreting basic technical drawings and cross-referencing site installations.

CCP Applicant Prerequisites (Mandatory)

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Aged 21 and above.

• Must have graduated from full-time studies or completed National Service (whichever is later) at least 2 years prior to the application date.

• Career Switcher: Must NOT have been previously or recently employed in an engineering, project management, or supervisory capacity within the Built Environment/Construction sector.

• Strong willingness to undergo mandatory structured external training modules during the first 6 months of employment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in any field (non-engineering backgrounds with transferable operational skills are highly welcome to apply).

• Highly organised with a strong eye for detail and process tracking.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills (prior corporate, operations, logistics, or project coordination experience is a plus).

• Proficient in basic MS Office (Excel, Word).
