At Bukit Timah Music School, we provide premium music education to a highly motivated and dedicated student base. We pride ourselves on maintaining rigorous standards of musical excellence.

We are currently looking for a high-caliber, classically trained piano educator to take over an established Saturday roster of existing students. Because our students are actively progressing through their musical milestones, we are running a stringent selection process to find the absolute right fit.

Position Requirements

To maintain our school’s high academic standards, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Qualifications: Must hold a

  Degree or Diploma in Music (Piano Performance, Music Education, or equivalent from a recognized conservatory or institution, e.g., YST, NAFA, LASALLE, or overseas equivalents).

• Certifications: Minimum of ABRSM / Trinity Guildhall DipABRSM/ATCL/ARSM (or higher).

• Experience: Proven track record of successfully preparing students for ABRSM graded exams.

• Attributes: Exceptional pedagogical skills, professional demeanor, and a commitment to nurturing the musical potential of every child.

The Selection Process

We adhere to a strict vetting process to ensure teaching and musical excellence.

1. Phase 1: Resume Screening: Only candidates who explicitly hold the required diplomas or degrees will be shortlisted.

2. Phase 2: Interview & Audition: Shortlisted educators will be invited to our Bukit Timah studio for a formal interview and a compulsory practical audition. Please be prepared to:

   • Perform two contrasting pieces of your choice (Minimum DipABRSM / ATCL standard).

   • Demonstrate sight-reading capability.

   • Participate in a brief mock-teaching simulation to assess your pedagogy.
