Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for vessel spares, services, and project requirements, ensuring timely submission to clients.
  • Liaise with vessels, suppliers, and internal departments to coordinate the procurement and delivery of spares and contractor services.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify risks or delays, escalating key issues to the General Manager.
  • Provide technical inputs to support sales proposals and resolve commercial or operational challenges efficiently.
  • Ensure all services and supplies comply with company standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and oversee service contractors onboard vessels, at shipyards, or at anchorage when required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business growth and service excellence.
  • Take ownership of assigned sales enquiries, quotations, and service projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work overtime when necessary.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in ship chandling, marine services, technical sales, or quotation management.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel operations, marine spare parts, and contractor services is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive quotations under tight deadlines.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Meticulous, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel onboard vessels, shipyards, or anchorages when required.
  • Flexible to work beyond standard hours to meet operational and client demands.
