Primary and Secondary Science Teacher

Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science to primary and/or secondary school students
• Plan and conduct clear, engaging and well-structured lessons
• Help students understand scientific concepts and apply them accurately
• Train students to answer multiple-choice and open-ended questions using appropriate scientific keywords
• Prepare students for school assessments, PSLE and secondary-level examinations
• Mark assignments and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Monitor students’ progress and identify areas for improvement
• Create a supportive and positive learning environment
• Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress when required

Requirements

• Strong understanding of scientific concepts
• Familiarity with the MOE Science syllabus is preferred
• Prior teaching or tuition experience is an advantage
• Able to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner
• Patient, responsible and comfortable working with children and teenagers
• Good communication and classroom management skills
• Able to commit to a regular teaching schedule
• Current or former MOE teachers are especially welcome to apply
