Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials
  • Build custom furniture such as tables, cabinets, wardrobes, and chairs
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design plans
  • Operate woodworking machinery (saws, drills, sanders, etc.) safely
  • Repair damaged furniture and perform maintenance work
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and finishing of all products
  • Install furniture fittings, fixtures, and components
  • Select appropriate materials based on project requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with designers, supervisors, or clients when needed

Requirements

  • Strong woodworking and carpentry skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Good measurement skills
  • Knowledge of different wood types and materials
  • Basic understanding of safety standards and procedures
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines , with flexibility to work extended hours when required
