Post - Fixture Accounting Specialist

Salling Search is partnering with a leading player in the shipping industry to recruit a Post-Fixture Accounting Specialist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Fixture Recaps and Charter Parties, ensuring a clear understanding of contractual obligations related to hire payments
• Liaise with global Operations and Commercial teams to gather required data for hire cash flow planning and calculations
• Prepare hire statements in Veson and manage payments and invoicing for both Trip and Period TC IN/OUT fixtures, from delivery through to finalisation
• Maintain account overviews for key clients and support consolidation processes
• Ensure high data accuracy in Veson through timely updates and careful monitoring of reports
• Track redelivered fixtures, follow up on outstanding items, and actively pursue recovery of undisputed balances
• Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of new team members where required
• Engage directly with external stakeholders, including brokers, owners, and charterers
• Arrange brokerage commission payments

Requirements

• Background in shipping or post-fixture accounting is preferred
• Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Well-organised with strong time management skills
• Proactive, with a problem-solving mindset
• Team player who contributes positively to a collaborative environment
• Takes ownership and accountability for work
• Motivated to improve processes and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Experience with Veson IMOS and Microsoft 365 is an advantage
• Strong written and spoken English skills are essential
