We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs and help them achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will create an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while working collaboratively with students, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess individualized and small-group learning programs tailored to students' needs.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Adapt curriculum materials, teaching strategies, and classroom environments to support diverse learning profiles.
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure holistic student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare reports as required.
- Foster positive behaviour, social-emotional development, and independence skills.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and educational policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, or developmental delays.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications or training in Special Education, ABA, Autism, Dyslexia, or related areas.
- Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools.
