Role: IT Support Engineer

Join a global logistic business supporting critical operations across multiple regions and environments.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will act as the Level 2 escalation point for our helpdesk, delivering reliable IT support across global offices and vessel operations while enhancing service quality, reporting, and asset visibility.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Act as the Level 2 escalation point for helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
  • Provide Level 1 support (remote and on-site) for end users, including laptops, Microsoft 365, printers, and meeting room AV systems
  • Accurately log, track, and close tickets with clear documentation and proper categorisation
  • Support remote IT environments, including troubleshooting and coordination with offshore or distributed teams
  • Manage daily IT operational requests and support ad hoc activities as required
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects, including coordination, documentation, and testing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines and service level agreements
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset register across all locations
  • Prepare monthly helpdesk performance reports (e.g. resolution rates, backlog, recurring issues)
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance IT service delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT support or technical operations
  • Strong Level 1 troubleshooting experience across: Windows and macOS environments Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)Printers and AV systems
  • Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with IT asset management practices
  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory / Azure administration is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly across different time zones
  • Able to work independently
