Fashion Designer Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the entire product design execution process from designing, sampling and fitting to productions and provide valuable feedback and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired silhouette.
• Conceptualise, sketch, and curate commercially viable designs that reflect Dear Lyla’s aesthetics.
• Select fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand’s quality and design standards.
• Research and stay updated on fashion trends and customer preferences to curate commercially viable designs.
• Oversee rigorous checks on measurements of products, model stats, and descriptions, to guarantee seamless and timely product listing ahead of launch.
• Enforce a strict production timeline by overseeing all stages - sample creation, product logistics and final photoshoot execution.
• Aligned with the brand's fashion style: Feminine, minimalist and timeless designs.
• Liaise and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs and that each deadline is met.
• Assisting with livestreams (required to work night shift on days with livestream)
• Assist with ad-hoc operations duties when required

Requirements:

• Diploma in Fashion Apparel or Design, or relevant textile/apparel experience in related fields is a plus point.
• Proficient in design sketching and usage of design software. (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant software) is a plust point.
• Ability to conceptualise and translate ideas into wearable fashion.
• Great passion for the brand and exceptional taste and eye for the latest trends and timeless styles.
• Independent, driven and meticulous individual who is eager to learn and grow in a quick pace / start-up environment.
• Proficient in both written and spoken

  English and Chinese

  to articulate design concepts and communicate with manufacturers.
• Size requirement (for trying on samples): For Dear Lyla (female): 160cm - 165cm, PTP 15.5"-16", Waist 12.5"-13", Hips 17.5"-18", Size S preferred. For Lyla Men (male): 171-180cm, usual Size M/L preferred.

Full-Time Commitment Period:

• 5 days a week (At least one weekend required during Nov - Feb period)
• Only Singaporeans / PRs are allowed
• Office location: MacPherson (current) / Chai Chee (from Aug onwards)
