HR Operations & System Business Partner APAC (Associate/Senior Associate)
We are seeking a HR Operations & Systems Business Partner APAC to join our regional HR team, based in Singapore. As Asendia APAC continues its transformation and expansion across the region, HR plays a critical role in enabling organisational growth, strengthening capabilities, and building scalable, future-ready processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of that journey—combining hands-on HR operations with regional HR system(s), governance, and transformation initiatives.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Human Resources APAC, you will act as a key partner in delivering operational excellence, HR systems optimisation, and process standardisation across the countries in the region. The role manages the regional HR Management System (HRIS) across APAC and serves as the subject matter expert in streamlining HR processes across the region. It oversees end-to-end HR operations for Singapore and manages vendor-led payroll for Singapore, Australia, and new markets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective governance. The role also maintains strong internal controls, supports audit processes, and ensures Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for operational resilience.
YOUR TASKS
- Manage and optimise the regional HRIS across APAC as the subject matter expert, supporting system enhancements, implementation, and process improvements to drive standardisation
- Manage vendor relationships and vendor-led payroll operations for Singapore, Australia, and new markets, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and effective service delivery
- Manage HR data and analytics, including reporting and insights generation, to support data-driven decision making and improve HR processes across the region
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for Singapore across two offices, including employee lifecycle administration, compensation & benefits, and employee relations, with regular travel between locations as required
- Support employee engagement and HR initiatives across both regional and local (Singapore) offices, including internal communications
- Drive continuous improvement by exploring and implementing new ideas to enhance HR operations, systems, and processes
- Maintain strong internal controls across HR operations, support internal and external audit activities, and ensure effective Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for compliance and operational resilience
- Provide backup support within the HR team across the region to ensure continuity of operations and service delivery
YOUR PROFILE
A. Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration/ HRM/ Accounting or relevant disciplines; or with equivalent relevant work experience.
- HR Generalist background with minimum 5 years of human resources work experience, preferably with good experience in HRMS and Payroll operations and good hands-on experience in HR related applications and technology.
- Possess strong analytical skills, solution generation capability and execution ability.
- Well-versed with prevailing HR best practices and strong knowledge in local legislation and statutory requirements in the APAC countries, especially in Singapore context.
- Good communications & interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with different personalities.
- Excellent proficiency in English (both spoken and written) and good presentation skills.
- Strong team player with good multi-tasking skills, a meticulous attribute and ability to work in discreet and independently to meet deadlines.
