Company Description

Established in 2004, the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) is a private sector-led organisation that partners key stakeholders of the maritime industry and government agencies to foster public-private collaboration, develop and promote Singapore as an International Maritime Centre (IMC), and build a maritime-ready talent pool.

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join us as an Executive (for Internships & Outreach).

Internships, Outreach & Profiling

  • Assist in developing and implementing programmes, initiatives, and activities to promote, secure and match maritime-related internship opportunities from companies to students.
  • Provide post-event/initiative report and analysis, where relevant
  • Assist in developing and implementing programmes, initiatives, and activities to promote Singapore as an International Maritime Centre.
  • Conceptualize promotional and publicity programs to attract manpower and talent into the maritime industry.
  • Profile the Singapore Maritime industry to local Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) and companies.
  • Promote maritime training and education to attract talent into the industry by organising community and youth outreach initiatives for various stakeholders.
  • Liaise with relevant industry bodies and government organisations to facilitate cooperation across different sectors of the maritime industry.
  • Promote and market the industry, internships, and scholarships to students and the general public including featuring profiles/initiatives.
  • Support relevant projects

Events Management

  • Organise career fairs, talks, and road shows in tertiary institutions to increase awareness of maritime career opportunities.
  • Curate networking events, seminars and talks to profile the industry and youth clubs.

Administration

  • Internship administration; working with IHLs and companies to publicise internships, collation of applications, and interviews (where relevant).
  • Maintain database and website contents.

Requirement:

  • Background in Business, Marketing, HR or Communications, or with at least 2 years of relevant working experiences.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Have a good eye for design, able to use Canva is a plus
  • Proactive, meticulous and results-oriented with excellent planning skills.
  • Good command of the English language both spoken and written, with strong presentation skills.

Other Information:

  • 5-day work week (9am to 6pm).
  • Remuneration package shall commensurate depending on work experience and qualification.
