Retail Assistant

Location: Upper East Coast

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $2,000 - $2,200

We are a specialty retail store offering a curated selection of artisanal cheese and fine wines. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and sharing our passion for quality food and drink.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with selecting cheeses and wines based on their preferences
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and product recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the store
• Handle cashier duties, POS and process transactions accurately
• Restock shelves and manage inventory levels
• Support in-store tastings and promotional events

Requirements

• Relevant experience is an advantage, junior staff are welcome to apply (training provided)
• Interest in food especially cheese and wine
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays

• Positive attitude and team player
• Basic knowledge of cheese, wines and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and hygiene standards

Working Hours

5-day work week (44 hours) with 1 weekend off in alternate week based on weekly roster

Store Operating Hours

Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
