As a Clinical Instructor (Community), you will be responsible for the following following duties:

  • Plan, organise, deliver and evaluate clinical training programmes and supervision for nursing and care staff within assigned clinical areas.
  • Develop and implement training curricula and educational materials for classroom and practical-based learning.
  • Assess effectiveness of training sessions and recommend continuous improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Conduct clinical teaching sessions, supervision and eldercare clinical rounds to strengthen staff competency and clinical practice standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate clinical practices in accordance with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB), Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and organisational requirements.
  • Provide structured assessments, documentation and feedback on trainees’ clinical performance, including preparation of evaluation reports.
  • Identify learning needs, competency gaps and developmental areas among nursing and care staff.
  • Promote reflective learning and critical clinical reasoning to bridge theory-to-practice application in eldercare settings.
  • Act as a clinical resource person and professional role model in the delivery of quality eldercare services.
  • Mentor and guide junior nurses in the management of complex clinical cases and emergency situations.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing leadership and training departments to address staff development and performance-related matters.
  • Conduct educational and clinical audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and effective learning environments.
  • Participate in the development, review and updating of clinical supervision frameworks, competency guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to educational initiatives, committee meetings, projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Foster effective communication, teamwork and a culture of excellence in clinical practice and patient care.

Requirement

  • Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Valid BCLS and AED certificate.
  • Trainings in clinical teaching and learning or clinical teaching supervision.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical teaching, supervision, and interpersonal skills.
