Associate AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist AI Engineers in developing, integrating, and maintaining AI and Agentic AI components, contributing your programming skills to the broader system.
• Support LLM-related development tasks such as preparing and cleaning datasets, wiring up prompts and APIs, and helping set up retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and tuning workflows under guidance.
• Carry out AI testing and evaluation — running test cases and benchmarks, recording results, and reporting on model and agent performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Build and maintain supporting software around AI systems: APIs, data pipelines, scripts, and internal tools.
• Write clean, well-documented code, participate in code reviews, and follow the team's engineering practices.
• Learn AI concepts, frameworks, and tools on the job, and progressively take on more AI-focused responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical programming experience.
• Solid programming skills, ideally in Python (experience in other languages is fine if you can pick up Python quickly).
• Good fundamentals in software development: data structures, APIs, version control (Git), and writing maintainable code.
• A genuine interest in AI and a strong willingness to learn LLMs, Agentic AI, and AI testing/evaluation on the job.
• A reliable, detail-oriented approach to testing and following through on tasks.
• Good communication and a collaborative attitude — you work well as part of a team supporting senior engineers.

Nice to Have

• Any exposure to AI/ML — even through coursework, tutorials, or small personal projects.
• Familiarity with Python AI libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face) or LLM APIs.
• Experience with data handling, scripting, or automation.
• Familiarity with cloud services, containers, or basic deployment.
• A GitHub portfolio or evidence of coding projects.
