Banking Officer - Corporate Actions / Asset Servicing

We are looking for a Banking Officer to support Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing activities within a Securities Operations or Custody environment. The role will involve processing corporate action events, handling operational queries, investigating reconciliation breaks, and supporting UAT and ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities

• Process and support corporate action events, including Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General Meetings, dividends, coupons, redemptions, rights issues, bonus issues, stock splits, cash offers, and exchange offers.
• Handle ad-hoc asset servicing assignments, including tailored corporate action handling where required.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, operational standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable guidelines.
• Provide advisory and operational support to front office staff on corporate action-related queries.
• Investigate items in Asset Servicing Suspense Accounts.
• Follow up on cash and stock reconciliation breaks and work with relevant teams to close outstanding items.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing and support system enhancements, process improvements, and ad-hoc projects.
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and audit trails for all corporate action activities.

Requirements

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Securities Operations, or Custody Operations will have an advantage.
• Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of banking operations, securities operations, or financial markets will be beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willing to learn and work in a banking operations environment.
