BD Executive, Commodities

We are seeking a high-caliber BD Executive to spearhead market expansion and execute 3rd-party trades within our global agricultural commodities division. The ideal candidate is a strategic "numbers person" who possesses a deep understanding of market dynamics and is ready to leverage an existing network to drive growth across key emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Development: Proactively identify and develop new markets and customer segments, with a specific focus on the

  Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa (Central/West).

• Trade Execution: Manage and execute 3rd-party trades from end-to-end, ensuring seamless operational flow and profitability.

• Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing, competitor activity, and broader market information to inform trading strategies.

• Technical Trading: Apply a comprehensive understanding of various trade flows, rice grades, origins, and price spreads.

• SnD Analysis: Perform rigorous Supply and Demand (SnD) analysis for relevant markets to forecast trends and mitigate risks.

Prerequisites

• Industry Experience: 3–5 years of overall trading experience specifically within the

  Rice commodity sector.

• The "Sales Book": Preference will be given to candidates who come with an established sales book and active industry connections.

• Analytical Rigor: A strong "numbers person" with a firm grasp of market dynamics and the ability to translate data into actionable trades.

• Mobility: Willingness to travel to key regions to manage relationships and oversee market expansion.

• Soft Skills: An independent self-starter who is also a collaborative team player, demonstrating strong alignment with core group values.
