Metrology Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and establish accurate measurement methodologies, inspection programs, and metrology recipes for measurement systems and inspection equipment.
• Provide metrology and measurement support throughout new product development activities, ensuring equipment readiness, stability, and reliability.
• Coordinate and manage measurement requests effectively to support Product Development, Quality, and Operations requirements within project timelines.
• Analyse measurement and inspection data, identify trends or deviations, and provide improvement recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Create and maintain operational procedures, standards, and work instructions to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant equipment operation aligned with customer and business requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and performance optimization of measurement and inspection equipment to achieve high operational reliability.
• Keep abreast of emerging metrology technologies, industry practices, and process improvements to support continuous enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners to exchange technical knowledge and implement best practices in metrology and measurement systems.
• Support additional duties and projects assigned by management as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Measurement) or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Metrology Engineer.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of metrology principles and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Strong understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Experience working with CAD software.
