Sales Coordinator
- Working Location: Jurong East
- Working Days: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:15pm
- Salary range: SGD 3,500 to SGD 5,000 monthly, 13th month, SGD 250 transport allowance
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Support & Order Management
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations for generator spare parts based on customer and distributor requests
- Process sales orders in SAP (or equivalent system) and ensure proper order tracking through to delivery
- Monitor order status, backorders, and fulfilment timelines; proactively follow up on delays
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure on-time shipment
2. Distributor & Customer Coordination
- Serve as the primary contact point for distributor enquiries on parts availability, pricing, and delivery
- Support distributors in identifying correct parts using parts manuals, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Provide guidance on lead times, alternatives, and supersessions when required
- Ensure high responsiveness and professional communication aligned with OEM standards
3. Pricing & Commercial Support
- Maintain parts pricing structure, discount levels, and quotation consistency
- Support updates of parts price lists and SAP pricing uploads where applicable
- Work closely with sales managers to ensure competitive pricing and margin control
- Assist in commercial negotiations by providing cost, lead-time, and availability inputs
4. Technical Coordination
- Liaise with service and engineering teams to validate part numbers and application suitability
- Support troubleshooting by identifying parts required for maintenance, overhaul, or repair jobs
- Assist in preparing parts lists for service projects, contract maintenance, and retrofit activities
5. Inventory & Demand Planning Support (Good to have)
- Monitor fast-moving and critical spare parts demand trends
- Provide input for stocking strategy to ensure parts availability for key distributors
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to manage stock allocation and urgent requests
6. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track parts sales performance, backlog, and order fulfilment KPIs
- Prepare monthly reports on parts sales, quotation conversion rate, and service support activities
- Highlight risks (e.g. stock shortage, shipment delay) and recommend mitigation actions
7. Performs any other parts sales and aftermarket duties as and when assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2–5 years of experience in parts sales, aftermarket support, or customer service (preferably in genset, heavy equipment, or industrial engines)
- Familiarity with generator systems
- Experience working with distributors in regional markets is preferred
- Prior spare parts experience with engines manufacturers will be advantageous
- Proficiency in SAP or ERP systems (order processing, pricing, inventory)
