Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within industries such as electronics, semiconductors, electroplating and related manufacturing sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of industrial customers and sourcing opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to expand market presence and increase recurring business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments and regulatory requirements relevant to precious metals sourcing activities.

Client Management & Commercial Activities

  • Engage prospective and existing customers to understand operational needs and identify commercially viable solutions.
  • Work closely with internal technical and laboratory teams to evaluate material recovery potential and business feasibility.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations for customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply agreements to achieve profitability objectives.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure and account management.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and support the business development team in achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, monitor KPIs and provide coaching to improve commercial effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Laboratory and related departments to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, KYC requirements and relevant industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • At least 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience within industrial, recycling, commodities, metals or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in acquiring new customers and developing profitable commercial accounts.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a sales/business development team will be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Singapore industrial markets and regional exposure will be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be advantageous to support communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and regional stakeholders.
