Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic with 3 to 5 years’ experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles, big buses, European and Japanese cars, focusing on aircon systems, gearboxes, and engine overhauls.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues in commercial vehicles, big buses, European vehicles (Euro 3 to 6), and Japanese cars to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Perform aircon system repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting to maintain vehicle climate control functionality
- Conduct gearbox and engine overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly to restore vehicle performance
- Service vehicle systems such as brakes and suspension to maintain safety and compliance
- Operate specialized diagnostic scanners and pneumatic tools to accurately identify faults and perform repairs
- Meet productivity and quality standards by completing assigned tasks within deadlines
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve workshop goals and maintain a smooth workflow
- Stay updated on manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and industry developments to apply best practices
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in an automotive workshop on commercial and passenger vehicles
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles, big buses, European vehicles (Euro 3, 4, 5, 6), and Japanese cars
- Expertise in aircon system repair, gearbox, and engine overhaul
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle troubleshooting
- Relevant qualifications and certifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possession of a valid Singapore driving license (added advantage)
Other Information
- Work schedule: 5.5-day work week, Monday to Friday 9am–6pm, Saturday 9am–1pm
- Working location: Kaki Bukit
