Regional Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives across Indonesia and the Philippines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, expanding our market footprint, and managing distributor networks within the forestry, outdoor power equipment, and industrial tools sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing indirect sales channels and fostering strong partnerships in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive regional business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share in Indonesia and the Philippines.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors and channel partners to strengthen our indirect sales network.
- Manage and nurture existing distributor relationships, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their sales performance.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the forestry, outdoor power equipment, and industrial tools sectors.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of regional sales plans.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance, distributor effectiveness, and overall regional growth.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build brand awareness and forge strategic alliances.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, market reports, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven sales and business development experience specifically in forestry, outdoor power equipment, industrial tools, or related sectors.
- Proven track record and extensive experience in managing distributors or indirect sales channels within Southeast Asia.
- Direct experience working across the Indonesian and Philippine markets is strongly preferred, with a deep understanding of local business cultures and practices.
- Exceptional negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the designated regions as required by business needs.
