Industrial Product Designer (Mechanical / HVAC)

Our esteemed client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking an Industrial Designer/ Product Design Engineer (Mechanical/ Industrial) to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Position: Industrial Designer/ Product Design Engineer
• Location: Kaki Bukit
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm
• Salary Package: Basic + Performance Bonus

Job Responsibilities

• Research and design innovative industrial products based on market trends, user needs, and business goals.
• Create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using SolidWorks, Rhino, or AutoCAD; ensure compatibility with STL and STP formats.
• Develop product forms, materials, and finishes, ensuring full functionality and manufacturability.
• Partner with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare precise design specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for prototyping and mass production.
• Lead prototype evaluation, testing, anditerative design improvements.
• Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve design and production issues.
• Support cost-reduction efforts while maintaining design integrity and product quality.
• Assist in creating mock-ups, renderings (KeyShot), and presentation materials for management or client reviews.

• At least 1 year of related experience with mechanical product design. Experience with cooling towers, heat exchangers, or HVAC systems is a plus.
• Proficient in 3D design and drafting software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot or similar.
• Ability to produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings for engineering applications.
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturability.
