The SBL Vision Family Service Centre is a voluntary welfare organisation in Tampines since 1998. We support clients of all backgrounds to cope with personal, social, or emotional challenges through dedicated social service professionals.

Job Summary

Join our team as a Receptionist to provide professional, organized, and compassionate front-desk support for clients, staff, and community partners at the Family Service Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk-in clients, visitors, and respond to phone enquiries professionally to ensure positive engagement
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of reception and common areas to create a welcoming environment
  • Coordinate pantry and stationery supplies to support smooth office operations
  • Manage appointment bookings and reception duties to facilitate efficient client scheduling
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality of client information to protect privacy
  • Provide administrative and clerical support including filing, data entry, inventory management, and mail handling to support team functions
  • Assist with general office coordination and perform ad-hoc duties as needed to maintain operational flow
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds to foster inclusive service delivery
  • Use basic computer skills and applications such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Office to complete daily tasks
  • Organize workload and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet operational demands

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'N' OR 'O' Level or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in receptionist, customer service, or administrative roles preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and colleagues
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude to support client needs
  • Bilingual language skills are an advantage to enhance communication with diverse clients
