Account Executive (AP/AR)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting data entry into the accounting system (GL module – SunSystems).
• Post supplier and customer invoices, receipts, and payments accurately.
• Key in payment vouchers (PV) and journal vouchers (JV) based on supporting documents.
• Prepare PV/RV for receipts and payments, including employees’ monthly claims.
• Update collections and payments promptly in the system.
• Arrange monthly payments for invoices and staff claims, including GIRO/remittance submissions via online banking.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded within the required closing timeline.
• Complete month-end closing tasks and verify completeness of postings before closing.
• Run financial reports and support preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain proper electronic and physical filing of accounting documents for audit traceability.
• Verify data accuracy, highlight discrepancies, and comply with company accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Provide ad-hoc accounting and administrative support as assigned.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software or ERP systems; SunSystems experience is an added advantage.
• Strong data entry accuracy with the ability to handle repetitive accounting tasks.
• Able to meet monthly closing deadlines consistently.
• Junior to mid-level Accounts Executive profile with a system-user focus rather than report preparation.
