Operating Theatre SN, O&G clinic

Responsibilities:

• Surgical Assistance: Assisting doctors/specialists in the Operating Theatre during minor and major gynecological procedures.
• Procedure Preparation: Preparing patients for surgery, including briefing them on procedures, verifying consent, and conducting pre-operative assessments.
• In-Clinic Procedures: Assisting with in-clinic procedures such as Pap smears, ultrasounds, and IVF-related procedures (if applicable).
• Basic Nursing Care: Performing phlebotomy (blood taking), intravenous (IV) cannulation, subcutaneous/intramuscular injections, and wound dressings.
• Infection Control: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring sterility in the OT, and managing clinical equipment.
• Consultation Support: Chaperoning doctors during consultations and physical examinations.
• Patient Counseling: Providing counseling on antenatal, postnatal, and infertility treatments.
• Administration: Managing patient case notes, scheduling appointments, handling billing, and updating electronic medical records.
• Medication: Dispensing medication as prescribed by doctors.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma / Degree in Nursing
• Valid SNB
• Prior experience in O&G, fertility, or OT settings is preferred
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and cannulation is advantageous
