A marine firm is looking for a Buyer for a 9 months cover

Your new role

· Issuance of purchase orders under contract

· Create and issue purchase orders in compliancewith existing contracts

· Ensure correct application of incoterms andapplicable contractual conditions

· Issuance of purchase orders with sourcing fornon-contractual needs (with the support of Category Managers when required)

· Identify and select suppliers for spot purchases

· Negotiate optimal conditions in terms of price,quality, delivery time and incoterms

· Ensure applicable Terms & Conditions arediscussed with and accepted by the supplier

· End-to-end follow-up from the PurchaseRequisition to the delivery

· Monitor transportation of equipment to hubs andvessels in collaboration with the Logistics

· Department (flow tracking and shipmentstraceability)

· Act as the main point of contact for operationalteams regarding order and logistics follow-up

· Raise alerts in case of delays or anomalies andensure corrective actions are initiated by responsible functions (logistics,customs, etc.)

· Involve relevant stakeholders when specificissues arise during orders processing

· Analyze compliance with delivery schedules andcontractual commitments

· Provide regular feedback to Category Managersregarding supplier’s performance

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience in a similar role will lead to your success, as you will ideally have:

• Any relevant Bachelor’s degree of 2 to 3 years in Procurement, Supply Chain or any other relevant field
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes
• Good understanding of Incoterms and transportation rules
• Ability to analyze supplier performance indicators and propose corrective actions
• Rigor, organizational skills and responsiveness
• Proficiency in ERP / P2P tools (Oracle PO, SmartPal) and MS Office.
